2 Ways To Add Textures To Images!

Do you want to know how to add cool textures to images? Adding textures to images can make them look even cooler! All you have to do is follow anyone of these 2 simple steps! You can also find some textures to download, by checking out my other post (here)

1. PicsArt/ Superimpose

**PicsArt is free and an alternative to Superimpose, Superimpose cost 0.99. I'm going to use PicsArt.**

i) Open the image which you'd like to add the texture to. Make sure you click to "Edit" the image and not to "Draw"

ii) Click on "Add Photo" (bottom right menu) and add the texture.

Place it directly on top of the image, or wherever you'd like to add the texture. You can also erase some parts of the texture, by clicking on the paintbrush (bottom left, near the bin)

iii) Click on the button which says "normal"

This will open up a large vertical menu of different blend modes, for you to choose. Click on each one till you find one you like.

For an Overlay, you will probably use "Screen" "Overlay" "Lighten" and maybe even "Multiply" and others, depending on the image. Once you have chosen your preferred blend mode you can also control the opacity (transparency) level.

I chose the blend mode "Screen" and left the opacity as it was.

iv) Now save your image.

Press the tick at the top right, then press the save button at the top left. The image should now be saved to your camera roll.

The finished image with the added texture!

2. Using A Blending App

You can find a blending app by simply searching it on the Appstore. Some good ones are Fused, Photoblend, Blendpic and Piclay. I'll be suing Fused. It's free to download, along with all the other apps I mentioned, BUT requires payment to get rid of watermark and to buy more features.

**You can also use Fused for overlaying videos and photos. and it may also be used a green screen app. It's available to download on Windows computers**

i) Open both the image of your choice, and the texture.

You can put them in whatever order you like, but usually you might put the texture as the foreground, and the image as the background.

ii) Again choose a blending mode of you choice.

You can again control the opacity (transparency) level, until you are happy.

iii) Save the image to your Camera roll.

Thats all!
